Empowering Farmers with Knowledge and Skills

Green Power launched its comprehensive Farmer Technical Academy program this month, designed to bridge the knowledge gap between advanced irrigation technology and practical field application.

The three-tier training program accommodates various experience levels, from basic system operation to advanced troubleshooting and optimization. Each participant receives hands-on experience with actual equipment, ensuring they can confidently operate and maintain their systems independently.

“Technology alone isn’t enough,” explains Fatima Nour, Green Power’s Head of Capacity Building. “Our goal is to empower farmers with the knowledge and confidence to maximize these systems’ potential.”

The academy has already trained 120 farmers from the Beheira and Sharqia governorates, with plans to expand to additional regions next month. Participants report immediate improvements in system efficiency after applying their new skills.

Registration for the next training cohort is now open, with special sessions available for women in agriculture and youth entering the farming sector.
